"The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin", "A Fish Called Wanda", "The Madness of King George". Served (1946 - 1948) as Ply/x 116080 Mne GD Palmer, trained as a weapons and fieldcraft instructor, and rose to the rank of Corporal. Says he loved his time in the Royal Marines and was eternally grateful that he was not in some ordinary Army regiment, though he claims he was a pretty useless Junior NCO.
