General James Wolfe 1727 - 1759
Briefly a Marine Officer. As a Major General, commanded the expedition for the capture of Quebec. Initial attempts to do so failed, but on 13 September 1759 he reached the Plains of Abraham by scaling the cliffs at a poorly guarded point, and the city capitulated after a short struggle. Wounded, Wolfe died at the hour of Victory
