The Royal Marines Reserve (RMR) is composed of volunteers with everyday civilian occupations, who are in their spare time, trained to fulfil the same role as their regular counterparts within the Royal Marines. The purpose of the RMR is to augment the Regular Corps when required with Commando trained individuals and sub-units.
